A national meeting was held on 28^th November 2023 at Golf Course Hotel to discuss ways to improve multistakeholder coordination of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Uganda. At the meeting, the Ministry of Health acknowledged that although pharmaceutical manufacturing was a major priority area for the Ministry (with Priority area 8 of National Pharmaceutical Services Strategic Plan IV), little had been done. The National Planning Authority pledged to spearhead creation of an inter-ministerial taskforce to spearhead the discussion. WHO also pledged to support coordination efforts where needed.
